An Invitation to Assessors

The Medical Practitioners Act 2007 gives the Council key responsibilities in education and training and professional competence.  The work includes evaluating medical schools, clinical training sites, and postgraduate training bodies, to determine if the standards set by the Medical Council are being met.

The Council is keen to recruit suitable individuals to assist in its work of ensuring the quality of medical education and training, and wants to assemble teams from a variety of backgrounds.

We would like to hear from you if have:

•the necessary personal qualities – including high ethical standards, dedication to patient safety, good interpersonal abilities, and effective communication skills; and

•experience, knowledge and understanding of education, and / or experience in a consumer group working in healthcare, education, training, patient safety or patient advocacy.
