Information for Doctors
All doctors who wish to practise medicine in Ireland must register with the Medical Council. It is an offence to practise medicine in Ireland without being registered. The Council oversees medical training, ongoing professional competence, ethics and the Council also deals with complaints against doctors.

Doctors: Do We Have the Correct Contact Details for You?
Email is the quickest and easiest way for us to contact all doctors on the register. From this year, doctors will now receive the Annual Registration Certificate electronically to make the process more efficient. As no physical certificate will be issued it’s particularly important that personal contacts details (particularly email address) are up-to-date.
