Your Training Counts: Make your Training Count

The Your Training Counts 2017 survey is now live and has been emailed to over 2,500 trainees in Ireland. The survey will be open for a period of twelve weeks.

This is the fourth year of the survey, and in order to achieve a representative sample, we would like as many trainees to complete this year’s survey as possible.

The purpose of Your Training Counts is to speak to trainees directly in order to establish the strengths and weaknesses in medical training in Ireland. These surveys are used as vital tools in maintaining the quality of and improving standards. We wish to maintain the significance of these surveys and the real value of such surveys depends on the number of participants completing it.

Over the past three years, these surveys have been imperative in helping shape a quality agenda for medical education and training in Ireland. We hope that with a higher participation level, more trainees can have their say in how they learn, and guide us on what areas may need to be worked on. Previous Your Training Counts reports have focused on: career and retention intentions, health and wellbeing as well as reporting on results from surveys carried out in 2015, and 2014.
