Additional Registrants

A significant number of medical practitioners have applied for trainee specialist registration in July 2010, however, as the Medical Council continues to receive proposals of training posts from the HSE, it is not yet possible to ascertain which Division of the Register is the most appropriate for these medical practitioners.

Any employer who is unsure if a medical practitioner is registered should first consult the Search for a Doctor facility. If the medical practitioner cannot be found, try this downloadable list.pdf. This list will be updated regularly to include any new registrants who are awaiting confirmation of the status of their NCHD post.

If the medical practitioner's name still cannot be found, please contact the Medical Council immediately, before allowing the medical practitioner to take up their post.
