Seeking Expressions of interest for our Medical Ionising Radiation Committee

The Medical Council would like to invite applications from suitably qualified medical practitioners interested in becoming a member of our Medical Ionising Radiation Committee.

Members of the Committee will assist the Medical Council in fulfilling its obligations under SI 478/2002 European Communities (Medical Ionising Radiation Protection) Regulations 2002.

A high degree of expertise and specialist knowledge will be required to meet the statutory requirements set out in SI 478/2002. The Committee’s terms of reference would be limited to advising and making recommendations with regard to the Council’s obligations under SI 478/2002.  It is envisaged that the Committee would meet quarterly, although initially it may need to meet slightly more frequently while in the process of prioritising its workload and agreeing a Work Plan.
