Application form for membership of the Performance Assessment Model Refinement Working Group

In 2012, the Medical Council established procedures to work with doctors who are the subject of concerns regarding performance. These procedures include an assessment of performance to understand the cause of concern and to provide a basis to address these concerns that seeks to protect the public and support doctors in the pursuit of good professional practice.

As five years have passed since the establishment of these procedures, the Medical Council is looking to establish a time limited expert working group for the purposes of reviewing and refining the Performance Assessment model. The working group will be representative of those experienced in performance assessment in Ireland and abroad and will include medical and health management experts. For further information on the working group, please refer to the Terms of Reference.

Currently the Medical Council is seeking applications from qualified individuals to join the working group and support the objectives of its work.
