Restoring a name to the Register

Registration which has been cancelled may be restored in certain circumstances:

Note - It is a criminal offence to:

  • practise medicine within the Republic of Ireland without being registered in a Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners; or
  • falsely represent oneself as being a registered doctor; or
  • falsely represent oneself as being registered in a Division of the Register other than the Division in which the doctor is registered.
